Mes Partitions de Musique
Georgius (born Georges Guibourg) was born on June 3, 1891 in Mantes-la-Ville, France, and died on January 8, 1970 in Paris. A multi-talented artist, he was a singer, comedian, writer, screenwriter, and theatre director.

He began performing in Parisian cafés-concerts in 1908 and soon gained fame for his comic songs and satirical sketches. He wrote more than 1,500 songs and 2,000 short plays, becoming a fixture of French music-hall culture.

Under the pen name Jo Barnais, he published detective novels in Gallimard’s Série Noire, including Mort aux ténors and Tornade chez les flambeurs, combining mystery with wit.

Between the 1930s and 1950s, he appeared in several films while continuing his stage career. His song Au lycée Papillon (1936) became an enormous popular hit.

After WWII, his wartime activities led to a stage ban, pushing him further toward writing. He is buried in Bazoches-sur-Guyonne, leaving behind a rich and quintessentially French artistic legacy.
