Nobad and his Nobadienne were a French musical duo active in the 1930s, known for popular songs and music-hall performances. The name "Nobad" appears to be a whimsical pseudonym, complemented by "his Nobadienne," suggesting a theatrical and affectionate female partner.

They gained some success with songs like Le Peintre des Montagnes, a waltz-tyrolienne published in 1936. This song tells the romantic story of an artist inspired by alpine landscapes, in a dreamy and cheerful atmosphere. It belongs to the tradition of French tyroliennes, which were very popular in musette dance halls during the interwar period.

A fun anecdote: the duo also recorded a 78 rpm titled Bichette et Bichon / J’aurais pu être du coin in 1938, released on the Idéal label. This track reflects their taste for whimsical songs and endearing characters, often portrayed with humor and tenderness.
